Edward "Eddie" Epps, age 70, of Morristown, went to be with the Lord at his home Sunday, May 14, 2017. He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church, an avid fisherman and gardener and an Army veteran that was in the Vietnam War. Preceding him in death were his parents, James and Mary Nell Epps; and brother, James Wayne Epps, Sr.
Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Mary Helen "Bobbie" Epps; children, Eddie Bryan and Rebecca Lynn Epps; grandchildren, Nolan River Epps and Lavin Rachea Epps; brothers, Willie E. (Carol) Epps of Garnett, SC,...

Edward "Eddie" Epps, age 70, of Morristown, went to be with the Lord at his home Sunday, May 14, 2017. He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church, an avid fisherman and gardener and an Army veteran that was in the Vietnam War. Preceding him in death were his parents, James and Mary Nell Epps; and brother, James Wayne Epps, Sr.
Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Mary Helen "Bobbie" Epps; children, Eddie Bryan and Rebecca Lynn Epps; grandchildren, Nolan River Epps and Lavin Rachea Epps; brothers, Willie E. (Carol) Epps of Garnett, SC, Bobby D. Epps of Richmond, KY; sisters, Wanda (Jay) Shackelford of Strawberry Plains, TN and Linda Way of Knoxville; he is also survived by 9 nephews and 5 nieces and a host of friends.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 16, 2017 in the Chapel of Stubblefield Funeral Home from 6 - 8:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 17, 2017 in the Chapel of Stubblefield Funeral Home with the Rev. Allen Payne officiating with a military graveside to follow in Bethel Cemetery. The VVA Chapter 1067 will act as pallbearers.
